WHAT IT IS

Proposed advertising campaign for Emily Carr University's 2009 Graduation Exhibition. In collaboration with Jeff WernerAmanda HuynhEllen LeeAlex Buss and Andy Chung.

THE CHALLENGE

How to create a campaign for a graduation show that is not only pretty, but provocative?

MY ROLE

I created the visual language around the proposal. Utilizing advertising spaces donated by the City of Vancouver, the group came up with a series of two-part campaign posters. During the first month slogans appear to disparage, or make fun of, the school's reputation. During the second month the full, humorous slogans were revealed.

Different slogans in many languages were created based on city demographics and written in culturally-specific sayings, each with a surprise twist. Key goals were to create an unprecedented, dynamic and daring campaign that would create anticipation, surprise and get the public talking.
